Our Best Tips for Virtual Training Success
I don’t know about you, but in 2020 we were really busy converting in-person training programs to virtual formats. Sometimes the outcomes surprised us, and sometimes they were exactly what we expected.
Now that the year is almost over, we are taking a breath to reflect on and share the best practices we gathered and successfully implemented.
Often, people ask us how we modify our training programs and our evaluation methodology for the virtual environment. The answer is not much. The underlying principles of effective training are the same no matter what the platform or delivery method.
Good training always starts with Level 4 Results in mind, and a strong Level 3 Behavior implementation plan. So don’t get too wrapped up in the technology piece of virtual training. Look for a platform that will provide enough interaction and discussion to help participants to prepare to implement their new learnings on the job.
